WOW!    WOW!    WOW!
What an enthusiastic group of dancers we had this year after being away for four years!  It was so nice to see new faces and make new dance friends, and to see our veteran dancers that we have not seen in a while.  The group was entertained by Zandra McCallum, and Beth and Joe Arnold.  Of course, we can't forget our local instructors as well - "Pete" Vincent Schroeder, Marthe Thibeault, and Carol Larocque.  

A huge "THANK YOU!" to Beth and Joe Arnold for offering their DJ equipment to use at the workshop.  What the set-up, but so well managed by both!  

Not sure what everyone had for breakfast, but all dancers were absorbing the new teaches in record time, so think fast - had to fill in with some extra teaches and add a few open dances in between teaches!  Great job done by all instructors!

Thank you to Dianne Bishop and Jill Baker - N'Step Dance Shoes and Apparel - for coming north to sell their wares!  Some dancers did find some new footwear!  Lunch was catered by Helvi's Catering Services - delicious as always!  

The evening Open Dance was commenced with a surprise - a teach of Street Party Contra by Amy Christian.  Boy oh Boy - the dancers picked up the dance quite quickly and had fun and lots of laughs while doing it!  Love to see all the smiling faces while everyone danced!  We were able to dance a little better than half the evening playlist, but it was delayed by the surprise teach.  "Pete" doesn't like to run out of dances to do, so ensured that there were more on the playlist than actually required.  Fun was had by all!

Proceeds from the registrations and 50/50 netted the Blue Door Soup Kitchen (charity of our choice) a total of $890.00.  Cheque presentation will take place on Thursday, October 5th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.  Pictures will be posted after the presentation has been done.  Thank you to all participants for making this happen!!

Save the date for next year - Saturday, September 21, 2024 - Polish Combatant Hall, 291 Albinson St., Sudbury.  There will be a maximum cap of 70 participants, so once the registration forms have been created and posted, all will be advised.  If we fill to our cap limit, there will be a waiting list compiled in the event that someone may cancel.  All will be kept apprised of the information.
Keep on Dancing!  The more you do it, the better dance you become!  Have a look at the pictures below to see what everyone captured during the workshop!
