Christmas Class - December 3, 2015

The Beginner class enjoying some treats after a class with favourite dances done to Christmas music. The Improver/Intermediate class posed for pictures after eating some treats, and dancing some dances to Christmas music as well.

Merry Christmas to all, and wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year in 2016 !!

Dance for Kindness was held in over 40 countries around the world on November 8,2015.  Groups in different cities in all those countries performed the same routine to the same piece of music to promote kindness around the world.  The Sudbury Group was led by the owners of Spotlight Dance in Sudbury, who donated their time and efforts to teach/lead the routine to all the participants.  Participants were from different generations, and at the end of the performance, Krista MacDonald from Canadian Mental Health Association/Sudbury-Manitoulin Branch, thanked all for the participants, saying it was nice to see people of all ages taking part in the promotion.  Have a look at the pics below, and the videos on the Northern Ontario CTV news, and Spotlight Dance (amateur video).  The international video with clips from different countries around the world won't be available until after December 10, 2015.   Once it is available, the link to the video will be posted here.  Hopefully, if the event is held again in 2016, Sudbury as a whole will have more participants than in the past.  By word of mouth and social media, the word will spread to others, and the acts of kindness around the world will increase tenfold.

Check out the different websites for information on this event.  Hopefully you can find an event in your area for 2016, and participate.  The more people than know about it, the more kindness can be promoted around the world, and hopefully change the world!!  One small step at a time, results in huge effects later!!  We can all do our part in promoting kindness!!
