NCLDC 2025
Wow! What an awesome day we had with veteran and new dancers joining us this year!!! Welcome to the Timmins and Little Current groups who attended for the first time, and others who joined us from North Bay area, Grimsby, locally, Kapuskasing and surrounding area, Manitoulin Island. We learned and danced all day with additional instructions not originally listed on the program for the day. The evening dance was such fun! Newer dancers were eager to learn dances they didn't know, and joined everyone else on the dance floor - such keeners!!! Although they are fairly new, they will be much more experienced by next year! Kudos to the instructors in the North Bay, Timmins, Manitoulin Island and Little Current areas for exposing your students to something new for them! I am sure your students appreciate your continued efforts to bring them up to speed with others.
During the lunch break, the following people won complimentary workshop passes for 2026 - Linda Plant, Katy Hunter. The 50/50 draw winter was Pat Moore, with a substantial half of $307.00. Monetary door prizes were won by: Guylaine Rouillard, Shelley Gold, Carole Tessier.
Cheque presentation to Blue Door Soup Kitchen was done on November 18, 2025. They really appreciated the donation, and thanked us profusely for supporting them. They rely solely on donations, and do not receive any type of funding. THANK YOU to the NCLDC 2025 participants for your generous support of the workshop and 50/50 draw - without you, we would not have been able to make such a substantial donation!
Although we advertised that the 2026 NCLDC would be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, we were not able to secure a new location with much more room for that date. We will resume holding our workshop in 2026 at the Polish Combatant Hall, but the date has changed to Saturday, September 26, 2026. There will be limited seating (70), so get your registrations in early. Mark your calendars for another great event!
