SENIOR'S AB (Absolute Beginner) CLASS - 50+ (LIVE CLASS)
FROM 1:00 P.M. TO 2:30 P.M. - Beginning Monday, September 18, 2023
Parkside Centre - YMCA Building, 140 Durham St., Sudbury
Beginning Monday, September 18, 2023 this NEW Absolute Beginner class will start at 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUESTED!!! - **IMPORTANT - it assists with planning for rooms at Parkside Centre, as numbers are needed to determine size of rooms. Contact information below.
This class will remain at a Beginner level (and possibly some High Beginner) at all times and will progress much slower than other classes that Carol conducts. Most seniors are looking for an activity to challenge their brain and memory, as well as keeping active. The sooner you join the better - as we progress from learning a few dances to knowing and being able to do multiple dances, the harder it is to catch up. Please read "Information" below, and if you choose - Basic Line Dance Steps and Terminology. The terminology of the steps will be the biggest hurdle to achieve. Once you learn the name of the step and what to do with your feet, you are 80% there! You can do it!
Cost is $7 per lesson, per person, pay as you go (if you don't attend, you don't pay). First class is complimentary. Carol pays room rent to Parkside Centre. If after you have been taking this class for a while and are used to the terminology, speak with Carol about remaining for the class which follows at 2:30 PM - this class is current and ongoing. If you remain for the following class, you will not be charged for the second class. You may leave at any time you wish. Everyone's stamina is different.
