WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING NEW SIGNUPS FOR THIS CLASS VIA EMAIL OR PHONE CALL.  PARKSIDE CENTRE HAS DECIDED TO CLOSE THE CENTRE FOR A 3-WEEK PERIOD TO COINCIDE WITH SCHOOL CLOSURES - THIS COULD CHANGE, DEPENDING ON WHAT THE PROVINCE HAS PUT IN PLACE FOR PREVENTATIVE MEASURES.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED (EITHER VIA EMAIL OR PHONE CALL), YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL, AS TO WHEN THIS CLASS WILL START.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT ADVISED YOU WOULD BE INTERESTED, BUT ARE INTERESTED, PLEASE DO SO SOONER RATHER THAN LATER.  THE FIRST EMAIL I WILL SEND WILL BE TO THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN PUT ON THE MAILING LIST FOR THIS CLASS.
NEW STUDENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED INTO THIS CLASS AS OF THE 5TH WEEK FROM START DATEReason:  it is not fair to those who started at the beginning of the classes, to slow down the class for new people coming in.  And it is too difficult to try and cram many dances into a new person's memory - this makes it overwhelming and too difficult for the new person, and frustrating for them.  The new person then quits and decides not to return.  It is discouraging to the instructors that new people quit due to the frustration of not being able to learn the dances, because the class continues at their set pace of teaching and reviewing.  So if you are interested, it is strongly recommended that you begin within the first 4 weeks of the start date.

New Beginner Class - Parkside Centre, Thursday Evenings - 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The more you do and are exposed to the terminology and steps, the better you get at it.  Repetition is what makes it work!

NOTE:  Classes are only cancelled if there are not enough people attending (for the most part).  Always watch your email.  Advance notice is always given, unless there is an emergency, so always check your email before leaving home.  Classes continue over the summer months, unless there are less than 5 people.

Basic Line Dance Steps and Terminology  (click on)

If you wish to do a little practicing, download the document above, and practice some of the steps.  This will assist you in getting used to the terminology, and the motion of the steps.  If you choose not to practice, that is fine, as repetition in doing the steps is what makes it all come together!
